15A- Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2
After interviewing these three people I have realized a few things about potential clients in this business. I have concluded a few things based on these interviews. People will take quality over a cheaper price. People would rather pay top dollar for quality tree trimming. They like to have their yard look perfect and they will pay for it. People will also usually always shop online when looking for tree trimming services. It is currently the easiest way to look for new lawn services. Two said they rather pay with credit card and the other said she would rather use cash. They said personal pride in how their lawn looked was the biggest factor in getting their trees trimmed. They said that when someone compliments their trees that is what makes them feel good about their purchase. Sometimes they think that they should be spending money on other things. I would say that it really makes me happy that people will pay for quality over quantity.

Peter,
ReplyDeleteI was a little surprised by the results of your interviews because I would've thought the cost played a larger role in the purchase decision making. On the other hand, it doesn't surprise me that that people shop online to look for tree trimming services. With technology now you won't be able to keep up in many businesses without a strong presence online, in the app store, and social media.
Hey Peter, great work here as usual. I saw similar results in my interviews, finding out that price did not matter to the consumer as much as I may have thought it would. I also definitely agree that people would prefer to pay for quality over quantity, after conducting my interviews. It goes to show that buyers in different markets and segments can still possess similar tendencies when it comes to purchase behavior.
ReplyDeleteHi Peter, once again an amazing post. When looking at my interviews I had similar requirements needed from my customers. Quality was a major component in mine because people do not want to buy something they're going to have to frequently replace. Another, factor was the price that it is based at because people do not want to pay for something that is overpriced.
