9A-Testing the hypothesis, pt. 2

Who?  I believe that the reason there are people with opportunity but not the need is because there are plenty of people and business owners that are perfectly fine mowing their own yard.  They can handle doing all the yard work and do not have to worry about paying someone else to do it.  There are also people that can not afford to pay for it.

What?  It could be linked to the need of trying to have your yard look beautiful.  It also could be that they live in a Home Owners Association neighborhood and they are required to have their yard properly groomed.

Why?  The need would be the same because most people need to take care of their lawn and trees.  I only had one person that did not have this need because they said that their land lord takes care of their lawn.

Inside the Boundary                                           Outside the boundary
People who need their lawn taken care of          people who handle it themselves
lawn maintenance taken care of                         lawn not taken care of
People can not do their own lawn                      people do it themselves

  1. Hey Peter, I think you brought up an interesting point as far as why the need to have your lawn mowed. I have never looked at it from the perspective of wanting to be the same as other people who have their lawn well groomed. Even the one person who did not have the need still has the need to have their lawn mowed, it just happens to not be their individual responsibility.

  2. Hey Peter, great blog post. I think you're definitely on the right track in terms of testing your hypothesis. You've definitely been able to establish the boundaries successfully in your opportunity. I also think linking it to the home owners association is a great idea. It's required for those people to have their yard kept well. I would continue to work with this opportunity.
